So it has been confirmed that Zoran Tosic has left the club, joining CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee although it was reported to be in the region of £8m.

I’m going to keep this brief as I feel it’s a subject that has been done to death but I’m sure I’m not the only fan that feels he was not given a fair crack.

Some say he was signed to keep Adem Ljajic company, a deal that eventually fell through and thus we were stuck with a dud player, whilst others say he was too small or just couldn’t adapt to the English game but I wonder how exactly you could come to a conclusion like that in the 5 senior appearances he made for us.

How did a player go from being a wing maestro who could potentially take Ryan Giggs place on the left to out on loan without a chance of making it at the club?

I didn’t see him everyday in training so I’m not going to sit here and pass judgement but from what I have seen of him at Koln and for Serbia he looks a decent player.

I wish him the best of luck at CSKA Moscow and maybe it could see us sign Krasic in return (OK I’m reaching I know!)

Sorry about the onslaught of postings, and I’ll try not to dominate.

Anyways, I guess I have to trust our coaching as they would hopefully not part with him so easily if he were showing great promise. That being said, it’s a bit odd we still didn’t believe in him in spite of thriving at top flight football in Germany, which is somewhat physical, and having no previous chemistry with Koln.

I do wish him the best though, and still hope to see him included in Serbia’s starting lineup.

He’ll probably start Serbia’s next game and score a goal 🙂
