In what was a largely frustrating game to watch as a United fan, there were some highlights amongst the team:

VDS – 7 handled what was dealt to him and his save from Malbranque early was probably a game saver.

Rafael – 7 another solid display from the young Brazilian. Hopefully he is on his way to cementing his place as the clubs #1 right back

Vidic – 7 shaky early but then had a solid game also popped up as a left winger at times haha

Ferdinand – 7 I can’t be the only person that has actually thanked God he is back?

John O’Shea – 6 Filled in competently for Evra at left back had no back up on the left wing though. Was nowhere near as bad as some people have made out.

Fletcher – 5 currently not having the kind of impact we expect from him

Anderson – 6 was direct going forward, showed rust and final ball was poor at times

Scholes – 5 wasn’t allowed to have an impact on the game, may still be injured.

Nani – 6 tried hard especially late on can still be frustrating at times.

Owen – 5 massively unlucky. Had NO service at all in a game totally not suited to his style of play.

Macheda – 5 after the heights of Wednesday was going to be hard to equal and he struggled after being handed a start. Like Owen struggled with lack of service

Subs:

Berbatov – 7 tried and had a good chance putting a shot just wide. We looked a better team with him on.

Hernandez – 6 energetic and had a chance putting a header wide. Look useful and linked up well with Berbatov

Bebe – N/A
