Ollie Norwood has extended his loan at Carlisle by a month after impressing in his initial spell.

Norwood joined Carlisle in September and has played in all 7 of the games in that period starting 5 prompting Carlisle boss Greg Abott to extend his spell at Brunton Park.

Speaking to the official Carlisle website Norwood said:

“I’ve really enjoyed it here and there have been some great games, making my debut against Brighton was a real high point, and the lads have been fantastic with me. It’s great for me to be able to stay because it’s been a really good experience. Hopefully I’ll keep doing my bit to keep the team at the top end of the table.”

Norwood has been compared to David Beckham due to his proficiency from set pieces and garnered praise from Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington and like Jonny and Corry Evans managed to make an appearance for the national team before appearing in a senior game for United.
