Cristiano Ronaldo is held in high esteem by most at Old Trafford.

In his tenure at the club he won practically everything a player could win personally and helped United to a number of trophies both domestic and abroad.

Whilst he may give off an air of arrogance, Ronaldo realises his development into one of if not the world’s best player would not have been possible without the help of Sir Alex Ferguson, a man he declares is the best coach in the world.

Asked about Jose Mourinho in comparison to Sir Alex he stated,

“In some ways, they are alike – they both have plenty of experience and have won all there is to win in football.

I loved working with Sir Alex. We got on really well and today he is my friend. From where I am concerned, Sir Alex Ferguson is the best coach in the world.”
