It’s been an interesting month or so for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. The England international was at loggerheads with Sir Alex Ferguson and as David Beckham, Jaap Stam and many more players will testify to, when you get on the wrong side of Fergie your days at Old Trafford are numbered. However, with Manchester City waiting in the wings to take Rooney off the hands of their fierce rivals, Wayne performed a dramatic u-turn and signalled his intent to stay at Manchester United for the immediate future by signing a new five-year contract.

Rooney might have signed a new deal at Old Trafford, but one thing that the United striker hasn’t been doing recently is celebrating. In fact, as an ankle injury has kept him out of Man Utd’s recent Premiership and Champions League encounters, Roo has been on his backside a lot, as photos in the tabloids from his holiday to Dubai last month showed us. Sitting down is something that you’ll need to do if you want to be in with the chance of challenging Wayne Rooney, but unlike Roo you’ll need to hit the back of the net first!

You have the chance to play FIFA 11 against Wayne Rooney if your celebration warrants the acclaim of the United striker. Wayne is on the look-out for goal celebrations that show the fun and passion of the beautiful game. He wants to see you sit down if you love FIFA. You could create a celebration with your team mates or a friend, on a Sunday morning pitch or at your local 5-a-side centre. Just remember the celebration has to involve you sitting down, so Chelsea’s iconic pose from the past would qualify, but Nani’s somersaults wouldn’t!

Simply record your celebration on any device from a mobile phone to a camcorder and upload it to To enter your video upload it to your chosen hosting site (YouTube/ vimeo, etc) and copy the URL link. Then register or sign in to and post your link. You could win great prizes including the chance to play FIFA against Wayne, a training session with a leading player, Barclays Premier League tickets and copies of FIFA 11.

If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to challenge Wayne Rooney be wary as he’s had plenty of time to practice while he’s been on the treatment table. To see what celebrations get the thumbs up from Wayne take a look at the video below:
