Feels like I have done a ton of these already but today is a special one as it marks the 47th birthday of not only one of United’s greatest goalkeepers but also one of the greatest goalkeepers to have ever played the game.
Peter Schmeichel was monumental between the sticks for United having joined us in 1991 from Brondby and for anyone who doubts his talent and importance I point you to the arduous task we had of replacing him when he left Old Trafford in 1999.
You need to drop the “one of”, as he is THE greatest. But we’ve already run through this before right?
