In a much changed team, Tomasz Kuszczak has been given a start against his former employers due to Van Der Sar being out with the flu whilst Gary Neville has been called up to replace Rafael.
In the midfield Fletcher makes a return to the starting line and Obertan is given a run out as Giggs and Gibson drop out, the latter being on the bench.
No changes up front with Rooney and Berbatov leading the line.
