Last week we posted a look behind the scenes at United’s Carrington training complex and this week we’ve stepped into a time warp if you will.

This video gives us a look behind the scenes at United over 20 years ago as we see what the club was like in 1989.

Like the video from last week you get a great insight into the clubs workings seeing the players on the team coach on their way to a game, in the physio rooms being treated as well as in the players lounge socialising. One highlight is seeing Sir Alex and then number 2 Archie Knox discussing tactics specifically Hughes and McClair.

The video is quite dated and a lot of the players and Sir Alex himself looks fresh faced and comparing the two videos show the remarkable transformation the club has undertaken and the great job Sir Alex has done.

Thanks the videos they are great.45 minutes of insight marvelous.I cant believe the players would have to go into a little room to collect their wage slips and freebie match tickets.
Interesting to note they have “beans” as a choice of prematch meal no much wonder nobody can get near them!

Mike Phelan looks a bit weird… It’s like the voice doesn’t match the face and the body.

    Great videos though!
