Whilst there have been rumours that Gary Neville will retire at the end of this term and Ryan Giggs has signed a new one year deal, the future of Paul Scholes remains undecided.

The midfielder has had his season disrupted by injury having just missed 8 weeks but has again shown no signs of his skills deteriorating, case in point the ball he played for Dimitar Berbatov’s winner last night.

Whilst this may be the case he himself is unsure if he will carry on playing next season and speaking to the club channel he said,

“I don’t what I’m doing next year, I just want to concentrate on getting back playing for now. I like to have a week or two off at Christmas. This one just stretched out a bit longer, which has not been ideal. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can regain some fitness.”
