There is news emerging today that the Queens Park Rangers midfield sensation Adel Taarabt could be on his way to Manchester United.

The Moroccan playmaker has been in sparkling form this season scoring 13 goals in 27 appearances, whilst he also leads the assist charts with 11. His form has played a major role in QPR’s Premier League promotion push.

A number of eye-catching displays have not gone unnoticed, with it expected to be only a matter of time before he is picked up by a top European club.

Taarabt was sold to QPR by Spurs for an undisclosed fee but despite the step down is not short on confidence and has already set his sights on returning to the Premier League.

The 19 year old wonderkid claims a switch to Premier League leaders Manchester United could be on the cards, with discussions regarding a deal already opened as he told The People,

“Nothing is official yet. I had discussions about my transfer after my performance against Coventry.

“I’m ready to go to Manchester United. We’ll see later in the season, as I’m hoping to reach the promotion target with my current club QPR. I like England, so I am not against the idea of continuing my career at United.”

Although Taarabt may not be moving on in January, he may do so in the summer. I’m sure United fans would welcome the addition of a goal scoring playmaker, especially with the uncertainty over the future of Paul Scholes.

Taarabt is the type of player United have definitely missed since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and although the Moroccan may not be in the same league as the Madrid player, he’s certainly got the talent to succeed at a top club!
