They hailed his return to Anfield as the start of a new era, the results have been so so thus far but this month has allowed Kenny to signal his intentions and if this is the start of things to come he may end up being as popular as Rafa with us!

There must have been a few heads scratched at Liverpool when Dalglish forked out a whopping £35m (plus add ons) for Andy Carroll and whilst Carroll is a very promising player under less pressure I’m sure Kenny could have got him for half the price and two pints of Newcastle ale off that clown Ashley.

The deal makes Carroll the 7th most expensive player in the world and notably more expensive than David Villa.

No pressure then Andy!

The last time Liverpool won the League, the Berlin Wall was still up. Yes – one of the last remnants of Communism in Europe. When Germany let go of their outdated thinking, they prospered, even on the football pitch.

However, seems Liverpool didn’t follow the trend that year – they haven’t abandoned their outdated way of thinking – living off past glories that have seldom been added too for a long time. No wonder they haven’t prospered as much.

Sorry for the random comparison but perhaps the scousers will be kept away at least a week or two figuring out politics, the Berlin Wall and communism before they come back with a pathetic tirade.
