Diouf still wants a chance at Old TraffordManchester United forward Mame Biram Diouf, who is currently on loan to Blackburn Rovers, says he is desperate to make it at Old Trafford.

However, the 23-year-old admits he has been missing his former club Molde in Norway but still expects a chance to shine at Manchester United.

“I travel to Molde whenever I get the chance. I have a lot of friends there, and I miss it. It’s my second home, I have to be at my best to play for Manchester United. It’s a big club, and only my best will be good enough, but that is my goal.”

Diouf has scored six goals for Blackburn this season but is rumoured to be close to a summer exit from Manchester United.

Personally I’m not sure if he will have a career here. I had hoped he could show what he has to offer on loan at Blackburn but their signing of Santa Cruz has been a major blow to his chances there and looking at a return here I don’t see him getting ahead of Berbatov, Rooney or Hernandez.

Beyond those 3, Welbeck and posibly Macheda are ahead of him in the pecking order too. – Chudi

Agreed, although doesnt appear to be as natural talented as the others who appear to be in his way, i feel he is a different type of centre forward to those and may offer something different. Will never be anything more than a back up player though i feel.

he will bring a totally different dimension to united …tall very strong and quick and good heading ability.

Sadly it’s tough being in a team full of world class players. Even Macheda, much less Wellbeck, gets a chance to lead the first team.

we cant fit the strikers we have into the team (especially in the anti-united 4-5-1) so i can’t see a player who cant make it at blackburn breaking into our team. Pains me to say it but he’ll be sent packing in the summer, another profit in the what has become a player farm.

Looks like the Manucho saga all over again. Why would Fergie buy him with Berba, Rooney, Hernandez and the up and coming duo of Welbeck and Macheda already at the club?!
