All things told, it’s been a bad week for the Reds. 0 points out of 6 and Nani’s injury has left many of us glancing nervously at the league table, checking up on Arsenal’s remaining fixtures and using our maths skills to try and estimate how many wins are needed to land the fabled 19th title.

Right now it’s all about looking forward, so let’s continue to do so, but in regards to off the pitch matters.

This summer will surely be a busy time for the Reds, as the squad gets a makeover which many will say is desperately needed – trophies or not.

Here’s a list of squad members who might possibly move on from Old Trafford in the summer.

Please note! I’m not implying these players should be sold, or will, merely the players who’s places at United are perhaps under threat.

Michael Owen – If the front four at the beginning of next season are Rooney, Berbatov, Chicharito and the returning Welbeck, does Owen have any future at the club?

Owen Hargreaves – Sad to say it, as he’s a great player, but you have to wonder if he’ll ever get back onto the pitch and playing regularly. How much longer can United live with hope rather than expectation?

Paul Scholes – Time catches up with every athlete. Will this be the great man’s final season?

Darron Gibson – He’s had a lot chances, but has never taken them. Worth keeping as a squad player, or time to cash in?

Tomas Kuszczak – Will surely need/want first-team football. With the arrival of Lindegaard and so many rumours about other goalkeepers signing for United, will he ever get it here?

Kiko Macheda and Mame Diouf – The same predicament as Michael Owen. Do they get games next season?

Wayne Rooney – A contentious one. A lot of United fans still feel resentment to “Wazza” over the nonsense at the beginning of the season, and he hasn’t had his best season. Would you take the risk of selling him and using the funds to strengthen the squad as a whole?

Michael Carrick – He’s just signed a new contract, but that hasn’t stopped the fans who aren’t in Carrick’s fan club to criticise him and declare that his best days are behind him. Could he be gone in the summer?

Ritchie de Laet – With the progression of the da Silva brothers, is the full-back position now too crowded for de Laet to get a look in?

Wes Brown – Wesley seems to have fallen out of favour a little, and with Chris Smalling doing well and with Jonny Evans in back-up, could this be the summer that he moves on?

Gabriel Obertan – Will he ever be good enough for United?

Bebe – Ditto, although would moving him on after only one season be harsh?

There’s a list of possibilities. For one day – you’re Sir Alex. Who goes – you decide!

Owen is not even getting paid if hes not playing, so i dun mind..hargreaves can go byebye, gibson should leave as well, as we have pogba and morrison i believe? who is loooking really promising..
we meed a LW and CM…tho, we hav nani, park, giggsy and obertan… as we can see tho, giggsy can’t play week in and week out….park and nani is injured…obertan doesn’t have enuff first team exp…hopefully we will really get sanchez…i think he’s a left mid??

    Midfield- not creative enuff…
Scholsey- can’t play week in and out…
    Gibson- inconsistent..
Carrick- not even gna comment on that..
who else do we have ?
i guess park and giggsy can play in CM too, but would be waste for giggsy to play in the middle as he can still give some magic on the left..
fletch and anderson-we can depend on…but anderson can be inconsistent at times..
Cleverely- hopefully can perform how he performs in wigan in Manchester..if so, then we do have another promising winger.

we really need a creative spark in the CM…we can’t always depend our wings..most of our plays start from the wings..but if the opponent put most of their attention on the sides, then we are in deep deep trouble…so hopefully, SAF would cash some money in this time to put in this summer in the market…

Forwards- i think we’re fine…as we have Rooney,Berbatov,Hernandez,Welbeck,Diouf and Macheda
Rooney is starting to get his form back
Berbatov has been amazing this season. hopefully can do the same in the next season
    Hernandez- playing really really well
Welbeck- has been amazing on loan, hopefully can do the same when he comes back
Diouf- i think hes doing fine..eventho hes not getting alot of goals, but its only his 1 and a half season in EPL.. gives something diff wiv all the forwards we have
Macheda- get give some spark outta nowhere. promising lad as well..

I think we can add another player in our backs.
Ferdinand – Starting to get a lil rusty…a bit over his time..
    Smalling- promising player…
Johnny Evans- Hopefully he can perform back to his old self..as he hasn’t really shown himself this season..try him a season or two more? and see how he’s like..?
Vidic- our beast captain. kicking ass as always
Rafael- Getting really really good..need to a lil bit more patient tho..as he sometimes gets booked in unneccessary stuff..but im sure more experience can get him into the world’s greatest rb
Fabio- well, reserves, but can’t get really as much as experience has his bro since evra is being consistent as always, but in reserves, he plays for left wing..? so..who knows what SAF might do wiv him..but experience will do him really good
    Brown- useless, shown in anfield
O’Shea- Inconsistent and getting rusty, as doesnt’ have first team chances as he did a long time ago…
Evra- consistent as always, enough said

so basically we have 3 players at the back that might be a bit rusty? and aren’t performing that well…buying another back would be a good back up..

Forwards as i said, fine already
    Mid- need creative spark…1-2 players?

well what do you guys think?

  2. denison says:

am a united fan for the past ten years now,and i just want our man,sir to bring in some experience players from la Liga, especially midfielders, why not iniesta and snieder

  3. zack says:

    just sell them all then….

  4. james holden says:

Denison, what planet do you live on? Why would iniesta leave barca? Think about it. Depending on the success inter have I doubt highly that sneijder will leave, equally schweinsteiger. I think owen, hargreaves, Gibson should go. I don’t agree with the rest leaving, one of our strengths is the our depth, to let them go would destroy that. I hope scholes retires for one reason. It’ll make Ferguson buy a creative midfielder, too long have we been reliant on him. Before Anderson got injured I believed he could have filled the role, if people remember that’s what we bought him for from porto. I still believe with a decent run of games we will see the best of him, like nani.

We need a gatekeeper end of, neuer is looking the replacement, he has a schmeichel look about him. We a decent dm, I think that could be filled by diarra, who wouldn’t be that much, or if everton dont reach Europe, then look at rodwell. Pastore would be my answer to our AMC problem, equally gourcuff would be great aswell. I mirror the view also of Sanchez, we won’t be able to compete in a bidding war for bale

  5. Mwai Joe says:

The big problem Utd have is in the middle. We need an established play maker with young legs.Scholes was good but age has caught up with him.Carrick always makes most of his passes backward. Our mid have been unable to hold their own especially when other teams go at them.No wonder the inconsistencies with the whole team.Fletcher is good in big matches but ineffective in smaller ones where we used to collect easier 3 points.Sir Alex, go for Pastore and a certain Dortmund play maker before Man City outwit you.

  6. Mr E says:

Agree with all on the out list except for De laet class player really.
Add to the out list J Evans not good enough in the air and poor speed I am sorry to say.
So we need to but 7 players.
Benzema T Cahill Jarvis (Wolves) W Sniedjder (Sorry for the spelling)Hagaland (Fulham)
The players sold including Rooney will pay for these.
Also add Pogba and Morrison to first team squad

  7. Required says:

It’s a sign of weakness for the entire PL that a team of Uniteds calibre this season, leads the series. There’s just not enough quality throughout the team to win the PL. Sir Alex has done an amazing job to get the team to the top, and still be there come March. Unfortunately I don’t think they’ll stay there as we see the end of the season. To bad, as I really want to see that long awaited 19th trophy.

Out after the season should an d will be:
VdS – Too bad, you’ve been (mostly) fantastic!
Owen H – Never coming back.
Wes B – Lacks quality and support.
Michael O – Too old to be that far down the pecking order.
Michael C – Just not good enough to defend a place in the starting XI.
John O – Squad player, at best.
Gabriel O – Never been, never going to be, good enough.
Darren G – The occational goal, but lacks the quality to command a place on the centre.
    Bebe – Don’t get me started…
Mame BD – Too old to be a talent.

We desperately need a goalie. Neuer might be right.
We should have a good RB to complete the Evra-Vidic-Ferdy-line up.
Two wingers, a creative central midfielder and a working horse. Bale, Sanchez, Pastore and a nicer De Rossi.
A top class striker. I’d go for Benzema.

  8. Pet says:

Would be foolish to sell Rooney, at least if he wants to stay.

What kind of signal does it send to lose players like Ronaldo, Tevez (he`s a cunt but the point stands) and Rooney in three seasons? All world class players, and a world class team and brand like United need players like that.

As long as Wayne gives it all on the pitch I`m satisfied, and his performances is picking up as well. He won`t be a legend in the class of Neville, Giggs, Scholes even if he stays for years to come, but I still admire him as a player. Seems the feeling is the same around OT as well, as people support him on the pitch, but despise his actions off it. I think we supporters and Wayne himself can live with that.

When it comes to players I want to see going out this summer it goes like this:

    Owen x 2
    Gibson
    PIG
    Carrick
    Obertan
    In:

At least one central mid. Pastore or Modric would be insane, both young but shown their quality. Maybe add a young prospect as the 2nd central mid. inlike Costa.

Keeper: Many alternatives, I would like to see either of Neuer and Lloris added to the squad. Reina would be a good alternative as well, but not my first choice and the scouse cunts would never sell to us anyway, at least not for a sensible fee, but why should they really!

One Winger: Preferably Sanchez, a player of my sense, alternatively Hazard.

And maybe add some more young prospects ass well.

If Scholesy retire I would like us to add one central midfielder with rutine as well to what I wrote previously.

  9. markymark says:

    We cannot sell Rooney guys!!!!
Like PET says it does not really inspire confidence to the rest of the team and lets face it, if we get rid of Rooney will you be happy to pay circa £50 per game next season to see our star man ‘Fletcher’!!!!??? I certainly won’t!!
Unfortunatly if we sell, Fergie won’t buy.
4 transfer markets have proved that. He’ll keep using our youth and his party line of ‘no value’. (Fergie = full of $hit!!, Glazers are taking and giving nothing!!)

That said he should prmote the following and use them next season:
    Wellbeck
    Cleverly
    Morrison
    Pogba
    Petrucci
    W.Keane
    Cofie
    Tunnicliffe

Rather see the above used and sell / release Carrick, Gibson, Obertan, Bebe, M.Owen, Brown, De Laet, Pig.

The above have shown alot of promise and its time to use them, especially if we’re not going to buy

  10. Aanu Ajay says:
