All things told, it’s been a bad week for the Reds. 0 points out of 6 and Nani’s injury has left many of us glancing nervously at the league table, checking up on Arsenal’s remaining fixtures and using our maths skills to try and estimate how many wins are needed to land the fabled 19th title.

Right now it’s all about looking forward, so let’s continue to do so, but in regards to off the pitch matters.

This summer will surely be a busy time for the Reds, as the squad gets a makeover which many will say is desperately needed – trophies or not.

Here’s a list of squad members who might possibly move on from Old Trafford in the summer.

Please note! I’m not implying these players should be sold, or will, merely the players who’s places at United are perhaps under threat.

Michael Owen – If the front four at the beginning of next season are Rooney, Berbatov, Chicharito and the returning Welbeck, does Owen have any future at the club?

Owen Hargreaves – Sad to say it, as he’s a great player, but you have to wonder if he’ll ever get back onto the pitch and playing regularly. How much longer can United live with hope rather than expectation?

Paul Scholes – Time catches up with every athlete. Will this be the great man’s final season?

Darron Gibson – He’s had a lot chances, but has never taken them. Worth keeping as a squad player, or time to cash in?

Tomas Kuszczak – Will surely need/want first-team football. With the arrival of Lindegaard and so many rumours about other goalkeepers signing for United, will he ever get it here?

Kiko Macheda and Mame Diouf – The same predicament as Michael Owen. Do they get games next season?

Wayne Rooney – A contentious one. A lot of United fans still feel resentment to “Wazza” over the nonsense at the beginning of the season, and he hasn’t had his best season. Would you take the risk of selling him and using the funds to strengthen the squad as a whole?

Michael Carrick – He’s just signed a new contract, but that hasn’t stopped the fans who aren’t in Carrick’s fan club to criticise him and declare that his best days are behind him. Could he be gone in the summer?

Ritchie de Laet – With the progression of the da Silva brothers, is the full-back position now too crowded for de Laet to get a look in?

Wes Brown – Wesley seems to have fallen out of favour a little, and with Chris Smalling doing well and with Jonny Evans in back-up, could this be the summer that he moves on?

Gabriel Obertan – Will he ever be good enough for United?

Bebe – Ditto, although would moving him on after only one season be harsh?

There’s a list of possibilities. For one day – you’re Sir Alex. Who goes – you decide!

    Forgot to mention before.

    ‘Young’ Gibson is now 23.
Keane made his debut for United at 22 and was playing regularly before this for Nottingham Forest. Keane was also a regular in the united team by 23!!
Scholes made 16 appearances by the time he was 21 and was a regular in the team by 23!!!
Gibson was sent out on loan to Wolves a few year back and McCarthy sent him back!!!!!

Spot the difference!!! Gibson is simply not good enough.

Use some of the other young promising lads and sell this chump. Trappatoni’s words of wisdom were a blessing is disguise!!
