Ahead of tonight’s crunch match there is a bit of bad news regarding Sir Alex’s team selection.

As Sky Sports News confirmed earlier Nemanja Vidic misses the game and is replaced by Wes Brown whilst John O’Shea starts at right back.

On a brighter note, Nani is back in the team and Valencia is again on the bench whilst Hernandez continues up top with Rooney meaning Berbatov has to settle for a spot as a sub.

Starting XI: Van der Sar; O’Shea, Brown, Smalling, Evra; Carrick, Scholes, Nani, Giggs; Rooney, Hernández

Subs: Kuszczak, Berbatov, Fabio, Rafael, Valencia, Obertan, Gibson
