Sir Alex Ferguson has highlighted three youth players who have done well on loan this season.

According to ManUtd.com, Sir Alex Ferguson is now ready to give some of the players who are currently on loan away from Manchester United the game time they deserve when they return to the club during the summer.

Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley are two of a select group of prominent names who have been singled out by Ferguson for praise as Cleverley has been one of few bright spots for relegation outfit Wigan while Welbeck has been instrumental in ensuring Sunderland remain in the top half of the league table at 9th place.

The United manager has now assured this promising batch of players coming through the club that they will get their chance to impress the Old Trafford outfit next season.

“Cleverley has done very well, particularly in his spell at Watford and then at Wigan. He has improved in each case and he is going to be a top player.

“Welbeck has been fantastic too, it’s just unfortunate that he picked up a bad injury. But they will all be ready for next year.”

Mame Biram Diouf, the Senegalese striker whom United had picked up from Molde FK previously, has also impressed according to the United manager.

“Mame Diouf has done well at Blackburn too and he’ll come back in,” added Sir Alex. “They’ve all done well.

Ferguson believes that exposing the younger players to regular football at this stage of their careers will ultimately benefit and prepare them for first-team duties with United in the future.

“They will come back into the first-team squad and they will get plenty of games next season. They are part of the band of young players coming through at this club. They will all come back in.

“It proves we were right in putting them there in the first place. For them, it’s that experience of being exposed to regular football that really brings them on so that they are ready to play for Manchester United.”
