Luis Nani has spoken on his disappointment at his exclusion from the PFA POTY list.

The winger has been in scintillating form this season leading the Premier League’s assists chart with 18, scoring 10 himself as well as making various other important contributions to the team’s trophy winning aspirations.

Despite what has been his best season so far the Portuguese star was over looked when the seven strong list was revealed leaving team mate John O’Shea ‘amazed’ whilst Rio Ferdinand took to Twitter to express his displeasure at the decision not to nominate Nani.

Now the 24 year old winger, who was nominated for the young player version of the award, too has revealed his disappointment at having been overlooked saying:

“I think I have been doing well, so I am disappointed not to be there.

“But there’s still a lot of work to do this season. I am strong and hope to focus on my improvements every season and I hope to have more opportunities.

“I don’t like to speak about other players or people who make decisions. If I want to be there, I have to show that on the pitch.

“Of course, everyone has an opinion, and I hope next time people will look more to me and what I am doing, if I am doing well.”

Have you seen this goal?

The PFA/FA are an absolute joke. Even the most bitter of fan would realise that he has probably been THE player of the season. If he was English the media and the footballing authorities would lick his arse.

I hate it when abu’s still label him as inconsistent, someone who can produce the occasional magic..That list is a joke, wtf has a bale or a nasri done to merit a place ahead of nani..
