Manchester United look to make their first FA Cup final since 2007 when they take on Man City today at Wembley.

Having beaten Chelsea mid week at Old Trafford in the Champions League spirits should be running high whilst Man City come into the game off the back of a 3-0 hammering from Liverpool at Anfield.

Rumours of a weakened team proved to be false as United named a strong squad to face City. Paul Scholes’ fears have been allayed as he is drafted into the middle of the pitch whilst Dimitar Berbatov starts having been on the bench against Chelsea.

Starting XI: van der Sar; O’Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Scholes, Carrick, Park; Valencia Berbatov Nani

Subs: Owen, Anderson, Smalling, Chicharito, Fabio, Gibson, Kuszczak

I had a bad feeling about starting Berba alone and also felt Anderson should’ve started. Unfortunately, we played right into City’s hands by employing a crowded and not very mobile central midfield. Park has speed, but doesn’t posses the ball control needed to utlize it when he’s playing centraly.

That said, we still had no excuse and should’ve won it. All we can hope is that we put it behind us, and that Bolton or Stoke do the job we should’ve.

Another disaster in the making by Ferguson leaving out Hernandez in the startup and Giggs
