Following on from last week’s documentaries on United’s first steps in Europe, this documentary looks at the rebirth of the team following the Munich Disaster.
As Sir Matt made additions to his team the documentary looks at our return to Europe including the night George Best tore Benfica apart and was christened ‘El Beatle’ by the Portuguese press as well as the disappointment of the semi final against Partizan Belgrade.
Then on to the 68 where it looks at the semi with Real Madrid then the final against Benfica.
Nobby Stiles account of the final and his battle with Eusebio is particularly entertaining!
