Just like last summer, rumours surrounding Manchester United’s interest in Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder have been rife.

Talk of him or Tottenham’s Luka Modric being a main target have been in the press constantly but the Dutchman has moved to dispel these rumours by stating his desire to stay in Italy.

Earlier this week, Talksport ran an interview with one of Sneijder’s countrymen, Marcel van der Kraan in which he stated that Sneijder was open to a move to Manchester with United being his preference.

But it appears he has had a change of heart as this morning he spoke to Inter’s official website to assure fans that he intends on remaining at the club,

“There is a family atmosphere at Inter and there are all the ingredients to aim high.

“Milan is marvellous, picturesque and full of elegance. I love it. At the moment I am very happy here and I don’t see why I should leave.”

Whilst he did say ‘at the moment’, you get the picture that his feelings on a move away won’t be changing this summer.
