Ritchie De Laet is set to join Premiership new boys Norwich City on loan according to Sky Sports News.
De Laet, who went out on loan 3 times last season at Preston, Sheffield United and Portsmouth, was wanted by a number of teams after impressing in his 32 appearances at the 3 teams but Norwich appear to have won the race for his signature and a season long spell in the Premier League could be just what the Belgian defender needs as he continues his development.
De Laet is the latest United player to leave United this summer in some capacity with the retirements of Edwin van der Sar and Paul Scholes, Bebe set to join Besiktas on loan, Darron Gibson agreeing terms with Sunderland and both Wes Brown and John O’Shea seemingly available.
