Having won the FA Youth Cup with the u18s as well as putting in a string of all action displays at both u18 and reserve level Ryan Tunnicliffe’s star has been on the rise.

Sir Alex named him as one for the future and he was the recipient of  the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of The Year at the end of this past season so it’s easy to see why Peterborough are sniffing around him, hoping to take the 18 year old on loan next season.

Director of football Barry Fry sounded him out  him as a player Peterborough are keeping an eye on in the Peterborough Evening Telegraph and current manager and son of Sir Alex, Darren Ferguson, has expressed an admiration for the all action midfielder in the same newspaper,

“I have seen Ryan in action and he is a very good player.

“But I don’t even know if United are going to loan him out anywhere. Ryan has not been sent out anywhere in his career, but he is already a very, very good player.

“He is one of numerous players I have shown an interest in, but that’s as far as it’s gone so far.”

For me he looks the most likely of the younger players to make it in the first team next season.

      No I think Morrison is..

I dont care what he does off the pitch all I care is what he does on the pitch..

Sending him one year on loan a good move? – yes. Sending him specifically to Ferguson Jr? – no. Maybe they should talk to Wigan.

Tunnicliffe is a decent player given his age but theres no way he’ll make it into the first team next season. I expect a loan move but not to the championship, as said above wigan would be a good option for him. Morrison on the other hand, I’m a big fan and he should get a chance at the very least in the Carling cup.
