It had been thought that Nasri wanted away from the club after Sky Sports reported on Friday evening that he had told Wenger he wanted to leave but speaking in a presser this morning Wenger has stated that the club will retain the services of both midfielders stating Nasri is ‘very happy at the club’ and that he doesn’t see why Nasri wouldn’t sign a new deal.
This comes as reports emerged from Holland that United had moved forward with an attempt to sign Wesley Sneijder.
Whilst The Telegraph report that Sneijder will meet with Massimo Morriati this week to discuss his future, the Dutch paper De Telegraaf feel a potential deal is at a far more advanced stage and that a fee of around £35m will be required to bring Inter Milan player to Old Trafford.
