Having assumed his role as a coach at Old Trafford, Paul Scholes will be tasked with guiding players through Old Trafford and this could include stars of the future.

As one of the famed class of 1992, Scholes should know a thing or two about talented youth. He along with David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and the Neville Brothers graduated from that group and went on to forge careers at Old Trafford that saw them win numerous trophies and having just seen the u18s win the FA Youth Cup he has high hopes for this latest batch too.

“We have struggled a bit in the Youth Cup [since 1992] haven’t we?

“But this group look like they’re ready to go into a first team now because they are big, strong, powerful lads and they have got the skill to go with it.

“They like to work hard as well, which they are going to need. I thought they were brilliant and they looked like men already. They didn’t really look like kids because they are built so well. They are strong physically and have got the talent to go with it.”

The team that won the competition is littered with potential stars with the likes of Will Keane, Ryan Tunnicliffe and Paul Pogba all highlighted for bright futures whilst the highly talented Larnell Cole along with the likes of John Cofie and Tom Thorpe have also caught the eye.

But of all the players one stands out for Paul Scholes, Ravel Morrison.

Morrison has been talked about as one of United’s most talented players since Scholes but unfortunately off field problems have threatened to derail his career. Hopefully Morrison has put these issue behind him because for him not to achieve his full potential would be somewhat of a tragedy,

“They’re strong physically and have got the talent to go with it. You are probably looking at Ravel to come through, Ryan Tunnicliffe and Paul Pogba, but there are a lot of talented players.

“We’ve trained with Ravel and we know what talent he’s got – hopefully [he will fulfil it].”
