After what seems like an eternity, United are back in league action taking on West Brom.

With Liverpool and Arsenal drawing and Chelsea being held by Stoke a win here would be a great psychological boost.

With much competition for places all over the pitch Sir Alex has sprung few surprises sticking with De Gea in goal but shown massive confidence in the youth by handing Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck starts following their showings against Man City last Sunday.

Starting XI: De Gea; Smalling, Rio, Vidic, Fabio; Nani, Anderson, Cleverley, Young; Welbeck, Rooney

Subs: Lindegaard; Evans; Jones; Giggs; Park; Berbatov; Carrick
