Clarets eye Pogba move

According to reports in the Lancashire Telegraph, Burnley are eyeing up a move for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

Just last week the French midfielder was being spoken of as a potential starter against Leeds in the Carling Cup and now Burnley manager Eddie Howe has the 18 year old on his radar.

Howe was present on Monday night when Pogba put in a man of the match performance as United beat Fulham’s reserves 2-0 at Moss Lane and he will have been impressed in the part Pogba had to play in Mame Biram Diouf’s second goal.

Howe has come under criticism after letting the likes of Graham Alexander and Clarke Carlisle depart this summer and whilst he may not add to the seniority of their squad, capturing Pogba on loan will be a massive boost as his pure ability should help Burnley, who currently sit 8th in the Championship, rise up the table.
