With news that he is set to play some part in tonight’s Carling Cup game with Leeds, the furore around Paul Pogba is building.

The midfielder has been earmarked for a bright future at Old Trafford and if all goes well, tonight’s game could be the curtain raiser on an illustrious career.

Following a controversial move from Le Harve in 2009, Pogba has gone from strength to strength and ended last season an FA Youth Cup winner as United over came Sheffield United.

Now it appears he is being deemed as ready for first team action as he prepares to make his debut tonight.

Having been spoken of highly over the summer by Sir Alex Ferguson now Michael Carrick has praised the promising 18 year,

“Paul is a huge talent.

“He has trained with us a number of times, so we have seen quite a lot of him and he looks very promising.

“If he goes about things in the right way and gets a little bit of luck at the right time, he is going to have a bright future.”
