Liverpool fans look upon John W. Henry as some what of a saviour.
Previous owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett spoke of an ‘epic swindle’ upon being bought out by Henry and his consortium but no Liverpool fans were sad to see the back of them as it was felt that they were destroying the club.
Henry reappointed Kenny Dalglish in January and has backed him in the transfer market with big money signings and Liverpool appear to be climbing out of the rut they were in.
Henry admits that he didn’t have a clue about Liverpool or football upon buying them but in the year and a day since he has been involved in the game he has come to learn one thing: Sir Alex Ferguson is a genius.
Earlier this week Rafa Benitez attempted to down play Sir Alex’s influence by claiming it was more to do with money than the manager but Henry sees it otherwise as he told The Guardian,
“We are still a long way behind them.
“They were well set up going into this year and were then able to insert great, young players.
“Mr Ferguson is a genius.”
WTF !!!! Sanks would be spinnin in his grave at the thought of LFC owner publicly lauding Taggart as a genius.Get a grip Mr Henry. You have a genius in King Kenny. We’ll see who the genius is come Saturday afternoon.
U means shanks dipper??
“Shanks” labelled Matt Busby a genius so why would he be spinning in his grave at the thought of the Liverpool owner praising Sir Alex for all he has done for United? I guess you just want your owner to be as twisted and bitter as you lot are.
To be fair Rafa was right. If he had of been given the money to buy the two players he wanted to complete his Liverpool team with, Dani Alves and David Silva they would have gained the extra points needed to win the league in the 08/09 season. Money brings success in football.
To be fair that was the season he tried to swap Alonso for Barry so try again.
rafa spent millions and millions on mediocre players. thanks to that buffoon pool had a massive squad of shite so what is he on about now?
That’s Sir Alex to you Mr. Henry
