On paper it looked straight forward, us putting out a strong team playing against Romanian minnows and the apparent whipping boys of our group.

But as the saying goes, football isn’t played on paper and Otelul Galati put a up more of a fight than expected on the way to a 2-0 loss.

Wayne Rooney was on hand to dispatch 2 penalties after Sergiu Costin handled in the box he was was felled in the area in the games dying moments but the manner of the win as well as a red card for Nemanja Vidic will be of concern.

The performance was disjointed if anything and again the back line creaked under pressure from the Romanian side but held out for a clean sheet.

This isn’t the type of performance that inspires massive confidence ahead of an important Manchester derby but improves our standing in our Champions League group as we move up to second, 2 points behind Benfica.

Well well as i said dear Chudi it was tougher than we thought, not nail biting? Any United fan than thought ffs after Nemanja got (wrongly) sent off, ffs…. here we go.
The point is clearly its a braw result and not a sterling perfomance but the same old issues are coming to the fold.
Was this not a team recognised as 165th in the world pecking order and United dont wipe their arse and ditch them.
Its time to go to the January window and here what the transfer Muppet as to say, and our beloved owners, of course. lol
