Prior to kick off against Newcastle, Ryan Giggs was awarded with the Golden Foot award by the award’s inventor Antonio Caliendo. The Golden Foot aims to awards stars who have shone individually as well as in a team and past winners include Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, Totti, Del Piero and Roberto Baggio.
