Despite a win over Wolves at the weekend, Manchester United will still be feeling the effects of cashing out of the Champions League.

A loss to Crystal Palace the prior week means that United will now turn their attention to the FA Cup and the Europa League as well as attempting to retain their league title.

Despite calling it United’s ‘penalty’ for failing to qualify, Sir Alex confirmed last Friday that United would be taking the Europa League seriously but Nani has different ideas.

Speaking to The Sun, the Portuguese winger has set his sights on the two domestic accolades up for grabs this season,

“It has been tough.

“It is so disappointing to be out of the Champions League after the group stages.

“But we are still alive this season and must now do our best to win the two domestic competitions we are still in.”

United won’t have it easy though as Man City stand in direct opposition on both fronts.

We will have to overhaul their 2 (potentially 5) point advantage at the top of the table in the league and face a tough task in the FA Cup 3rd round with a trip to the Etihad Stadium.
