Manchester United’s young midfielder Paul Pogba has set his sights on more first team action.

The Red Devil’s 18 year old midfielder made his debut in the Carling Cup this season, and went on to feature in all three games in the competition, before United’s embarrassing elimination by Crystal Palace in the quarter final.

The Frenchman told the club’s official website,

“It’s very good here. I’m getting in the first team and I’m enjoying it a lot. I have to carry on and try to play more games.

“Leeds was a great feeling. I played away, in a derby as well, and came on for Ryan Giggs. I thought, okay now is a good chance to prove myself and to show them what I can do.                                                                                                            We won that game and it was a very good feeling.

“I told myself I’ve just tasted it, now I want to eat it-I want all the cake now. I want to play, work hard and do my best to get into the first team squad.

“I think you grow up a lot at United. I came from France, I’m here and I know what I want to do. I just want to be a first team player, a great player here and that’s it. I want to play with the first team.”

With the Champions having a midfield crisis at the moment with Tom Cleverly, Anderson and Darren Fletcher all sidelined and defender Phil Jones filling in alongside Michael Carrick in recent weeks, Paul Pogba could find himself included in Sir Alex’s plans especially with the packed Christmas schedule.
