If you think you were happy about Paul Scholes’ return imagine how happy Sir Bobby Charlton must have been?
The United legend has long been a fan of Scholes so was rightfully over the moon when the midfielder made a shock return against Man City last week.
Scholes’ return has been met with a mixed response with some looking at it as a step backwards for United, having to draft in a retired 37 year old to solve our problems but Charlton isn’t buying into all of that.
Speaking to United Review, Sir Bobby said:
“I have been more upbeat since I heard about Paul Scholes returning to the squad.
“It is one of the best pieces of news I have ever had.
“He is a sensational footballer and we are very lucky to have him.
“Maybe the one thing Sir Alex (Ferguson) had given a bit of thought to was that we needed a creative player in midfield.
“Suddenly there is a knock on the door and it is Paul Scholes saying he wants to play again.
“Alex must have thought it was Christmas all over again.”
while it can only be seen as a positive that scholes has returned I still lay the blame on the glazers for tying up the cash.
My brother and I have a passing interest in the NFL and noticed during the week that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished 3rd bottom of their whole conference this season. Relegation form in other words and I haven’t heard of them being anywhere near the playoffs in the last few years.
My point is if glazer where to sell them to focus on united surely the debt would be halved at least.

Never mind he did post the article on Sir Bobby 1+ hour ahead of Goal.Com.
He is still a United bitch, that I like a lot and worth teasing.
Keep up the great work.
maybe we should get Charlton out of retirement while our youth continue to be sold off to the highest bidder
