Having made his Premier League bow in the New Years Eve loss to Blackburn, Will Keane is hoping for more first team opportunities this season.

The striker is highly thought of at Old Trafford, and having been an integral part of the team that won the FAYC last season, scoring twice in the 2nd leg of the finals, Keane earned a call up to England’s u21 team.

His continued good form at reserve level saw him make his debut against Blackburn in December and was again included in the team that faced Stoke on Tuesday.

Having had a taste of first team football, Keane now can’t wait for more. Speaking to the club’s official website he said:

“Coming up from the Academy, it’s what we aspire to do for years.

“It’s always a dream of ours to do that and getting to do it was really special. It’s been good in training. Gradually, I’ve been brought into it quite a lot recently and the standard is obviously very high. There’s a good tempo and all the lads helped us settle in really well. It’s been really enjoyable.

“The aim is to keep working hard in training, keep developing in Reserves games and score as many goals as I can. Hopefully, I’ll get another chance in the first team, do as well as I can and keep pushing on from there.”
