It appears Manchester United will be going ahead with the checked shirts we post a few weeks back.

This image, taken in what appears to be a Nike Town store, shows the kit along with Arsenal and Barcelona’s new efforts being modelled on dummies.

Whilst the checked pattern is not as pronounced as in the pics we posted, they still aren’t exactly appealing. As a subsidary of Nike I wonder what we would have to do to get a decent Umbro one?

Arsenal’s isn’t too bad whilst I’m undecided about Barca’s.

What do you think?

NO WAY…. NOOOOOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Goodness, that United kit is horrible! Pleeeaaaase someone tell NIKE NOOOOOOOOOOO! RED SOCKS! REAAALLLY! IT’S BLACK OR WHITE, NOT THAT PUKE RED! IS NIKE trying to diminish United’s shirt sales! This smells of a plot from the midgets from spain! Theirs isn’t as glaringly detestable! At least change the socks please! United need to switch to Puma! This is too much! Giggs and Scholes will look like retirement home escapees in that horrid thing!

Any chance they made a mistake in fitting the socks? the red was meant for arsenal’s and black was for United?

To be fair, I think United comes much better off than the 2 other teams. But they all look like shit!
