Ashley Young is the latest figure from Old Trafford to warn Man City – ‘Any slip ups and we will be there to take advantage!’

Sir Alex Ferguson warned Mancini’s men following the win over Spurs on Sunday and Rio Ferdinand echoed his sentiments yesterday. Now Young, who grabbed a brace against Tottenham on the way to a 3-1 win, has reinforced their views.

With United in the hunt for their 20th league title, they will need to overthrow Man City at the top of the table and Young has his eyes firmly set on our cross town rivals:

“Any time they slip up and we can take advantage, then we will.

“We’ll keep pegging them back. As Paul Scholes said the other day, we think we’ll have to win every game.

“So as long as we keep doing that, we’ll be okay. We’ll just concentrate on ourselves, take each game as it comes. We’ve just had two tough away games at Tottenham and Norwich. Every game between now and the end will be tough.”
