With an impressive campaign under his belt, Michael Keane will be feeling optimistic about what the future holds for him at Manchester United.
The defender’s stock has grown this season with assured performances in the center of defence for United’s reserves and his continued development and improved performances were recognised at the end of the season when he won the reserve player of the year award.
Eyes will be on Michael, as well as his twin brother Will, as they continue to develop, and a loan move could be exactly what Michael needs if he is to take it to the next level, as long as Sir Alex approves of course!
“You never know, it could be something I’d look to do.
“If the manager wants me to do it, I would be happy for it to happen, but I’ve just got to keep improving.
“Hopefully, it’ll stand us in good stead and Will and I will have long careers at United.”
Getting to this point hasn’t been easy for Michael though and he is the first to state that he has had to work hard from day one as he told Inside United:
“I’ve been a United supporter since I can remember, with my dad having a season ticket for years.
“I remember when we were first scouted and I was so excited to come here.
“Ever since, I’ve worked so hard to get into this position. I’ve been in the gym a lot, getting stronger because that’s one aspect of my game I needed to improve.”
