Reserve team player of the year nominee Larnell Cole has steadily been gaining an army of admirers with his impressive displays for United’s second string.
Whilst not a headline stealing name like the Pogbas or Morrisons of the team, Cole has continually impressed when the chance has arisen meaning that he has become a standout amongst fans as well as coaching staff at Old Trafford.
His good work was recognised when he made his first team debut against Leeds in the Carling Cup last season and has flirted with the first team ever since.
A loan has been discussed for the midfielder in order to further his career, something he is open to and it could put him in better stead to follow in the footsteps of one of his biggest admirers.
Paul Scholes has been outspoken in his praise of Cole and whilst he has taken it onboard he isn’t going to let it go to his head as he told Inside United:
Paul Scholes has certainly been effusive in his praise of your talents..
I don’t want to get too big-headed but it’s nice when you hear it from him. Obviously, he’s such a good player and for him to say stuff like that is good for your confidence. When he was coaching with us, he never held back and went flying into tackles. It was good to learn from him and he carries on talking to us now even though he’s in the first team.
The entire interview can be read on the club’s official website where he discusses making it at United, his on pitch future and his wonder goal whilst in Dallas earlier this year.
