Earlier this week @Mr_Scripto spoke on Anderson’s future at Old Trafford, claiming that the Brazilian midfielder shouldn’t be consigned to the scrap heap just yet.

Having endured a United career of ups and down but ultimately dictated by his inability to stay injury free, it appears that some have lost faith and patience with the bubbly Brazilian. Last season his partnership with Tom Cleverley gave a promising insight into what he is capable of but again injuries (to both) put an end to that.

Now 24 and entering into his 6th season at Old Trafford, Anderson understands that this is as big as season as he has had at United. With the wolves at the door, he will need to show consistently that he is capable of holding down a place in United’s midfield, something he is well aware of as he told ManUtd.Com:

What targets have you set yourself?
I just want to play. For me, this season is very important. I know I have to be very focused on my football. I’ll still have a laugh and a joke with my team-mates, but I know I must be really focused on my job. I really want to show what I can do this season, produce my best and help the team.

Is it fair to say this is your most important campaign at United?
Yes definitely. I need to prove what I can do. I know the boss and my team-mates believe in me, I’ve just had bad luck. I want to improve as much as I can and help the team win trophies.

You can read the full interview here as Anderson talks on his partnership with Tom Cleverley as well as United in the coming season including the main threats to our title challenge.

Hello Guys ,thank you for supporting me after my retirement. I guess David Moyes might give Andreson his last chance to show us and all United fans what can he do.
