Patrice Evra has lamented Manchester United’s lacklustre first half performance against Spurs that paved the way for a 3-2 defeat.

United again looked devoid of energy and ideas as Tottenham enjoyed the opening 45 minutes at Old Trafford, scoring twice. It was a different story in the second half as United dominated, but Spurs had already laid the ground work for a historic win and sealed their win with a third from Clint Dempsey.

Last week United managed to escape from Anfield with 3 points  but this week weren’t so lucky and Patrice Evra is worried about United going forward:

“The result is what happens when you only play for 45 minutes.

“The game is 90 minutes long and we deserved to lose because we only played for 45. To concede three goals at Old Trafford is not good enough.

“The problem is in our heads. It looked like we stayed in the hotel. The first 45 minutes had no speed, no focus, we didn’t win a lot of challenges and we conceded some silly goals.

“Maybe I am hard with myself and the team but we only showed the United face in the second half. This is not enough if we want to win the title.”

Ferdinand and Giggs, shouldn’t play for United, Carrick is almost as useless, missing out on Dembele’s signing will prove to be Fergie’s biggest mistake this season.
