Tom Cleverley has spoken of his fondness of playing with new boy Shinji Kagawa, claiming the two are on the same wavelength.

Kagawa has earned positive reviews since joining the club this summer, and a number of players have spoken positively of his influence on games as well as in training.

Adding an incision and intelligence in the final third, Kagawa could play a key part in United’s silverware aspirations this season but at the moment team mate Tom Cleverley is just happy playing with Kagawa, claiming the Japanese star makes it easier to play the kind of football he likes.

Speaking in Inside United, Cleverley said:

“I’ve really enjoyed playing with Shinji.

“He’s really on my wavelength when it comes to playing one and two-touch football.”

Whilst Cleverley appreciates what Shinji has brought to the team, he was quick to praise the other summer signings, especially Nick Powell who he feels has a bright future ahead of him:

“They’ve all brought so much.

“We all know what Robin van Persie is about and Nick Powell is a really good footballer and a good lad. He’s definitely one for the future.”
