Kagawa: I haven’t had a solid 90 minutes for United yet!
Since joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the Japanese attacker has shown glimpses of the talent that caused Sir Alex to splash out £12m but he feels it isn’t enough.
It takes time for a player to adapt to a new country and club and Kagawa understands this, yet it hasn’t stopped him from scrutinising his performances.
Speaking to Kyodo News, Kagawa said of his brief time at Old Trafford:
“To be honest, I don’t believe I have yet cemented my place (in the team).
“There is not one game that I can be satisfied with the way I played over the 90 minutes. I still feel I need more time to adapt.
“It is fate for any player that plays for a big club and I am trying to draw on the positives.”
Having previously stated tailored exercise programs will help him improve physically in order to thrive in the Premier League, Shinji also feels improving his communication would aid him in his fight to establish himself at the club:
“I need to communicate better so I can get my timing right when asking for the ball and things like that, but more importantly I need to push and show my strengths. You gain trust when you deliver results.”
