“It is clear that is another attacking option for them.”

Petr Cech knows he will have to be on his toes this Sunday when Manchester United visit Stamford Bridge with Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney in tow.

In the same fixture last season Manchester United found the net 3 times to rescue a point, but with Van Persie’s added fire power Cech knows United will be an even bigger threat.

The Dutch striker sits a top of the Premier League’s leading scorers chart, with Demba Ba and Michu, having scored 6 times and his link up play with Wayne Rooney has proved just as lethal.

With this in mind, Cech has a lot to think about on Sunday afternoon:

“He [Van Persie] adds goals.

“If there is someone who can score goals in every game then it is clear that is another attacking option for them.

“And together with Rooney, it can be a very interesting pair. You can see they’ve been scoring goals.”

United haven’t beaten Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge since 2002, but having won there in the Champions League recently and going close last term, United will hope their added firepower can secure the three points.
