Michael Carrick insists the focus has shifted from Chelsea to Arsenal, as the aftermath of Sunday’s game is still felt.

Manchester United beat Chelsea in controversial circumstances at Stamford Bridge for the first time in 10 years, and whilst it is an achievement United cannot dwell on the win as Arsenal come to Old Trafford on Saturday.

So whilst the press and fans still discuss the game at Chelsea and Mark Clatterburg, Carrick says Manchester United have their eyes firmly set on the task of beating Arsenal on Saturday:

“It’s important to win, especially against your rivals.

“The likes of Liverpool and Chelsea – Arsenal next week – it’s important.

“They are the games – obviously there are other games – but it is important you take points off the teams that you see as your rivals.

“That’s why the Chelsea win was so important and next week is just as important.”
