Mourinho’s side return to Manchester for the second time this season, after drawing with Man City in the group stages.
This represents the hardest possible tie for United and Sir Alex would have hoped to avoid the Spanish side this early in the competition. United last met Real in the competition back in 2003 when Ronaldo stole the show with a hat trick at Old Trafford.
United travel to the Bernabeu first giving Sir Alex’s side a big chance if they can get something from that game.
This also means a return to Old Trafford for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the club in 2009.
