After a man of the match performance against West Ham in tonight’s FA Cup 3rd round replay, Sir Alex Ferguson has told MUTV that Ryan Giggs will play on for one more year.
The midfielder impressed at Old Trafford tonight with a performance that belied his 39 years, and late on won a penalty after a jinking run, only to see Wayne Rooney fire it over.
With performances like these still coming from the Welshman Sir Alex told the club’s official channel that Giggs will stay on, despite Giggs himself saying he will wait until the end of the season before deciding:
“He will play for another year.
“There are no discerning signs of tiredness or weakness in his game, his quality is still there and he has fantastic balance.
“He has the appetite for it and he is just an incredible human being.”
