Macheda braces beats Spurs

Kiko Macheda will head to Germany after the club agreed a loan deal with, Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart.

Macheda has seen his career at the club stagnate after a spectacular debut, scoring a last minute winner against Aston Villa to revive United’s title charge in 2009. But 2 failed loan spells later, 21 year old Macheda is struggling to get first team playing time, instead lining up for Warren Joyce’s u21 side.

With just 3 appearances this term under his belt, a move to Germany could revive his career.

Stuttgart currently sit in 10th place and were in the market for a new front man, having scouted Macheda extensively they got their target, beating off suitors from around Europe.

Macheda himself said of the move:

“I have followed the Bundesliga and naturally know about Stuttgart. I am glad that I can now play for the club.

“For me, it is about getting to know the team and what I can bring because we have a lot of interesting games in three different competitions in front of us.”

Macheda will wear the number 14 shirt.
