Whilst David Beckham is certain that Manchester United will win the league, the PSG midfielder would not be drawn on who he favoured in the first knockout stage tie with Real Madrid.
Beckham grew up a United fan and came through the club’s academy to become a successful first team player before joining Real Madrid in 2003.
During a Q & A session with H&M, 6 time league winner Beckham was asked if United would regain their title from Man City and replied:
“Only one answer. Yes!”
But when asked about his two former club’s clash in the Champions League, Beckham’s answer wasn’t so certain:
“Tough. I love both clubs.
“I’ve been a United fan since I was five years old but am still in love with Real, it will be a great game.”
