Former junior welterweight king Amir Khan headed down to Carrington today to meet up with some United’s players.
Khan, a Bolton fan but a well known friend of Ferdinand, also met with Javier Hernandez & Alex Buttner.
Hernandez is quite popular in boxing circles, no surprise given the size of the sport in Mexico, and is friends with Mexican superstar Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez whilst world champion Miguel Vazquez has promised to be as lethal as the striker is in the box, when he faces Scotland’s Ricky Burns next month.
This isn’t the first time Khan has buddied up with United stars, with Tom Cleverley dropping in on the fighter last summer whilst in training.
