Phil Jones may miss the second leg of Manchester United's game with Real Madrid

Manchester United take on Real Madrid at Old Trafford tomorrow and with the tie by no means settled, we are in for an exciting game.

Sir Alex rotated the team over the weekend but with the side training this morning, the team he sends out with the task of taking United into the quarter finals is beginning to take shape.

Having missed the Norwich game with flu, Rio Ferdinand trained this morning whilst Jonny Evans rather worryingly did some light jogging away from the rest of the players. Danny Welbeck and Patrice Evra both trained despite taking knocks at the weekend too.

Probably the biggest worry was the absence of Phil Jones. Whilst the press were granted just 15 minutes to see the squad train, the man who was likely to be tasked with stopping the returning Cristiano Ronaldo failed to appear in that time.

Sir Alex said on Friday prior to the Norwich game that Jones would be given every chance to face Real Madrid, but with him missing training today it is likely that he will miss the game unless Sir Alex held the youngster back and will have him train away from the prying eyes of the media.
